PIP assessor roles for nurses: pay, hours and what’s involved
Nurses are often recruited to PIP (personal independence payment) assessor roles. They will use their clinical knowledge to conduct functional assessments of individuals living with disability or a long-term health condition wishing to claim the PIP benefit. Working hours for PIP assessors are typically nine-to-five with flexibility about home-working. Assessment interviews may be in-person or carried out by phone or video call. Read about starting salaries and salary ranges, why the career might be attractive to someone with a nursing background, and whether any negative connotations are justified.
