Revalidation essentials: your reflective discussion and confirmation

Nurses must revalidate with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) every three years, by meeting requirements such as completing 450 practice hours and 35 continuing professional development (CPD) hours, and undertaking a reflective discussion and confirmation. We look at what the reflective discussion involves, including talking with another NMC-registered professional about development and feedback, linking it to the NMC code, and how it should be open, honest and documented using an approved form. Plus, what confirmation means and how to choose your confirmer.
