Development of a wellbeing clinic for patients after colorectal cancer

This article explores colorectal cancer patients’ experiences of a wellbeing clinic that provides holistic needs assessment. Initially the clinic was set up as a pilot to assess and provide a supportive ongoing service for patients. The clinic has since become an integral part of patient support post-diagnosis. The wellbeing clinic enables structured exploration of patients’ concerns using the distress thermometer and problem list, support to help them cope and referral on to other agencies.
