Enhancing relationships between family carers and professionals
Several policies and strategies describe how support service professionals should work with the family carers of people with learning disabilities. This article presents the results of a study of some of the most widely used terms to describe the carer-professional relationship, and presents a framework for discussions about how such relationships can be enhanced.
