Former nurse convicted of four murders in 2008 loses appeals

Former nurse Colin Campbell, jailed in 2008 for murdering four elderly patients and attempting to kill a fifth, has lost his appeals. Despite arguments of new evidence and unsafe convictions, senior judges at the Court of Appeal in London upheld all five verdicts. Campbell denied wrongdoing, but the court found ‘no doubt’ in the convictions’ safety, dismissing new hypoglycaemia cases presented by his lawyers.
