NHS pay: how nursing staff can have their say on 3.6% award

Nursing staff will vote from 9 June on the 3.6% pay award for 2025–2026. The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) and Unison argue the award fails to reflect inflation or address long-standing pay erosion. The RCN urges the government to deal with health unions directly and demands the reform of the outdated Agenda for Change system, calling the current pay structure a barrier to NHS staff retention.
