Nurse struck off for slapping patient and covertly giving medication

A learning disability nurse has been struck off the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register, after a fitness to practise (FtP) panel found allegations of misconduct upheld. The panel found she had put cold mashed potato on a spoon to covertly administer it to a patient after it had been on the floor, and had previously pushed and slapped the same patient, a vulnerable person
