Pay banding protest: band 6 nurses ‘undervalued and ignored’

District nurses stage protest for ‘fair and appropriate’ pay banding, accusing their employer of failing to follow nationally agreed job evaluation processes. They accuse NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) of putting up ‘barrier after barrier’ to a job evaluation request, saying they feel ignored and undervalued. The RCN says it will now ask its members if they are willing to take industrial action, as the health board has left it with no alternative.
