Tina Donnelly death: pioneering nurse was ‘force to be reckoned with’

Tina Donnelly CBE, former director of RCN Wales and a former commanding officer in the army, has died after a short illness. Nurses and former colleagues have praised her compassion and commitment to nursing, describing her as a ‘a force to be reckoned with’. Ms Donnelly played an instrumental role in implementing the landmark Nurse Staffing Levels (Wales) Act and has left a lasting legacy through her work in nursing, the army and trade unionism.
