‘We feel invisible’: nursing associates call for better role clarity
A petition calling for greater recognition and role clarity for nursing associates (NAs) in the NHS, to ensure the future of the role, has amassed thousands of signatures. The petition organiser, nursing associate Martyn Davey, tells Nursing Standard that NAs need more support and career progression opportunities, and others raise concerns about NAs being used to replace nurses and working outside their scope of practice. The petition calls for better career pathways and recognition within the profession.
