Want to stay at band 6? How to develop your career
Many ambitious nurses are happier to stay at band 6 than seek promotion to band 7 and beyond. Band 6 can provide enough autonomy and seniority to satisfy career aspirations and desire for clinical credibility without the loss of direct patient contact that often comes with management roles.
