How do pay and conditions compare for UK nurses working abroad?

Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, the US and Canada could be more appealing destination countries for nurses to work in than the UK, but there are benefits to working in the NHS. Recent figures suggest that salaries in the UK are lagging behind these five destination countries for nursing staff. Figures also suggest that UK nursing staff experience a heavier workload, and that the UK has an older nursing workforce than most of the five most popular destination countries. But UK pensions, quality of life and amount of paid annual leave are strong in comparison
