Nurse in row over trans doctor is cleared of gross misconduct
A hospital nurse who complained about sharing a women’s changing room with a transgender doctor has been cleared of gross misconduct by NHS Fife 18 months after being suspended over allegations of bullying. Sandie Peggie has since lodged complaints of victimisation, indirect discrimination on the grounds of sex, harassment related to sex and gender-critical belief and of having suffered detriment through whistleblowing. NHS Fife is reported to have spent more than £220,000 defending itself in the ongoing employment tribunal.
