Nursing staff recognised in King’s birthday honours list

Nursing staff from across the UK and across the profession have been named in the 2025 King's birthday honours list. The honours are given by King Charles in recognition of extraordinary public service. Front-line nurses, nursing leaders and educators are among those named, with former chief nursing officer for England Jane Cummings made a dame for voluntary services to nursing and health and social care. RCN president Bejoy Sebastian said the honours are a testament to the skill, expertise and dedication of those recognised and act as an inspiration to nurses. He added that the King ‘takes great pride in celebrating the incredible work of our profession’.
