A case for a pre-registration branch in primary care nursing
With greater emphasis on primary care and nurses being encouraged to play a key role in its delivery, the author argues in this article that an additional branch of pre-registration education should be established. She makes the case that, in the light of consultation by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, now is the time to examine the benefits of a specialist primary care branch.
