Placement in a major trauma ward taught me how to think innovatively
While on placement on a noisy trauma ward, I noticed how much trouble patients often had sleeping. The hospital environment does not lend itself to sleep. Think of all the slamming doors, bright lights, chatter in corridors, noisy bins and patients ringing the buzzer in the average ward.
