Nurse convicted of four murders denied Supreme Court appeal

A former nurse who was jailed for murdering four older female patients and attempting to kill a fifth, has been denied permission to take his case to the Supreme Court. Colin Campbell, who was convicted in 2008, has consistently denied wrongdoing. His appeal, based on new expert evidence, was dismissed, with judges rejecting his legal team’s latest application to certify a point of law.
