Trainee nurse awarded £24k for constructive unfair dismissal
A nursing assistant was suspended for two and a half years despite an investigation finding no evidence of an inappropriate relationship with a patient. She has now been awarded over £24k for constructive unfair dismissal, breach of contract and unlawful deduction of wages. Jessica Thorpe made money from her social media accounts ‘Slice of Jess’ during her lengthy suspension and these earnings were considered when her final payout was decided.
